We have a fascinating heritage, which reflects many of the social, industrial and cultural events of Leicester and Leicestershire through time. We feel, this deserves to be shared with our local community and much further afield. Sessions are twice monthly
The 1st Monday of every month: 10.00am-12pm, and the 3rd Monday of the month 7.00 - 9.00pm. Venue: Desford Library

A brief overview of the history of Desford, Botcheston and Newtown Unthank. Noting the major changes to work and education and the people who lived here through the times.

We have designed and installed 18 permanent boards set around the village. (The boards were unveiled at the Desford Heritage Festival in July 2022).
